General Care
Give your hair toppers a good wash every 2 to 4 weeks.
Using care & styling products that are specially made for wigs and other alternative hair can really make a difference. When you're out shopping, look for shampoos and conditioners formulated for each specific fiber.
Use a wide tooth comb and detangle often. And if you're dealing with synthetic toppers, a detangling spray can be your best friend!
How to Wash Synthetic Hair
1. Detangle
2. Rinse
Use some lukewarm water and carefully rinse from the roots down to the ends. Try to avoid soaking or rubbing too much because it could end up causing more tangles.
3. Shampoo
Lather up the shampoo in your hands and then gently work it through the hair. A small amount evenly distributed will do just fine.
4. Condition
Spray some leave-in conditioner from the middle of the hair down to the ends. Just remember to avoid the root or any knots.
5. Rinse
Just let the lukewarm water run in the same direction as the hair – this will help avoid any extra tangles. When you're done, give the hair a gentle squeeze and press; remember, no wringing.
6. Dry
Gently comb the hair before the hair dries. Air dry on a folding wig stand.
